You can still be dehydrated if you consumed 3 really large helpings of water. And furthermore, these days 8 glasses of water just doesn’t cut it anymore.
The earth’s surface has become hotter in the past two decades. This means a rise in dehydration. A new standard for adequate water intake involves drinking one 8-10 ounce glass of water for every hour that you are awake. This is because your body operates 24 hours a day. You cannot simply drink a large glass of water and then not drink water again for another couple of hours. This is a sure-fire way to become dehydrated. If you are a smoker then you are encouraged to drink even more water than the non-smoker.
Drinking generous amounts of water has tons of benefits to your health. You should definitely not overlook the power of this simple life’s element.
