The ultimate fat burning exercise
When it comes to cardio, what is the ultimate fat burning exercise? In this article we’ll take a look at a new, “secret” method for shortening your cardio workouts in half while still being as effective as a normal-paced cardio workout. So what’s the secret? Two words- Interval Training!
Interval training has gained quite some fame and recognition in the past 5 years. Think of interval training as a way to safely and effectively “tweak” your metabolism. Regular, normal-paced cardio activity does not work half as effective as high intensity interval training can. Most people believe the popular misconception that cardio activity has to be performed for more than 30 minutes to be effective. Not with interval training!
In fact, with interval training you can actually cut your time in half! So what is the ideal number of minutes to do your interval training workout for it to be truly effective? 20 minutes! If you can successfully manage 20 minutes a day to perform interval training, there is no way you will gain weight and be fat! This is of course, providing you follow a healthy diet.
What is 20 minutes of your day really? That’s less 3% of your entire day! If you truly cannot afford to take this amount of time to perform exercise daily then you really do not deserve a healthy body. 20 minutes a day of interval training is more effective than 40 minutes of regular, standard activity! So how do you begin performing interval training cardio? You start by doing 5 minutes warm-up. Then you kick it up a notch by as much as you possibly can for 1 to 2 minutes. After this you kick it down a notch to regular pacing again, for 1-2 minutes. Then go up again for 1-3 minutes. Rinse and repeat for the remainder of the workout. That’s it! Quite simple don’t you think?
Interval training is the ultimate fat burning exercise for anyone with limited time. Not to mention, who doesn’t like reducing their time in the gym or during a workout while still maintaining effectiveness? In order to lose weight you really do not have to work out harder. This is a huge misconception amongst people wishing to lose weight. In fact, studies prove that interval cardio training works better over regular, standard normal-paced cardio workouts! In today’s day and age we can all use time-savers. By limiting your cardio activity to 20 minutes you will be making more time for other workout activities such as weight lifting!
One extra tip: Try to do the “intervals” as hard as you safely can. This will help you lose extra calories, even when you are done with the entire workout! These intervals help spike up your metabolism all throughout the day after your workout. It “tweaks” your actual body into burning more fat, more efficiently.
Once you begin to see how well interval training works for you there is no way you’ll go back to your old, boring cardio workouts!
